Street Crime Unit (SCU)/New Brunswick Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU)
The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force works in close partnership with the Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU), a specialized team dedicated to identifying, disrupting, and dismantling drug trafficking, weapons offences, and organized crime.
This unit is composed of highly trained officers skilled in surveillance, drug enforcement techniques, and undercover operations. In addition to proactive enforcement, the team provides investigative support to complex and major crime investigations as required.
The IEU operates through strong collaboration with community members and law enforcement partners, using intelligence-led approaches to address emerging street-level crime trends that impact our region.
Originally expanded in late 2022, the Integrated Enforcement Unit brings together officers from the Saint John Police, the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, the New Brunswick Department of Justice and Public Safety, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, ensuring a coordinated and effective response to crime at both the regional and provincial levels.
