Obtain a Criminal Record Check
The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force offers an online process for Criminal Record Checks and Vulnerable Sector Checks.
All applications, identity verification, document uploads and payments are completed electronically through our secure online portal.
You cannot apply on behalf of another person. Authentication questions will be based on the applicant’s personal credit file, and the questions are timed to ensure a prompt response and to further enhance security and privacy.
Criminal Record Check Fees
• $35.00 – Regular Criminal Record Check (tax included)
• $15.00 – Volunteer Check (for non‑profit organizations)
Conditions
• You must be a resident of Rothesay or Quispamsis
• Standard processing time is up to 10 days.
• Expedited processing is available for $100.00.
Vulnerable Sector Check
A Vulnerable Sector Check determines whether an applicant has a criminal record or a sexual offence conviction with a record suspension (pardon).
Important Information
• In some cases, fingerprints may be required and submitted to the RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records.
• Required for paid or volunteer roles involving contact with:
– Children under 18
– Individuals who are dependent, at greater risk, or in positions of vulnerability
• Common positions requiring a Vulnerable Sector Check include but not limited to:
– Teachers
– Social service workers
– Daycare and childcare workers
– Coaches and youth program leaders
– Health‑care and support workers

If fingerprinting is required as part of your Police Record Check, you will be contacted to arrange an appointment. An additional $40 fee applies for non‑volunteer applicants.
Fingerprinting Services
Fingerprinting services are available by appointment only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a $40 fee.
Fingerprinting may be required for:
• Employment
• Record suspensions (pardons)
• Immigration or citizenship purposes
Eligibility
To book an appointment, you must be a resident Rothesay or Quispamsis
All applicants must present two valid pieces of identification that confirm their name, date of birth and current address.
At least one piece of ID must include a photo.
