Traffic Officers
Traffic
Traffic Services is comprised of specially trained uniformed officers dedicated to enhancing roadway safety and reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities throughout the Kennebecasis Valley. Operating in support of Patrol, Traffic officers focus on proactive, intelligence-led enforcement, collision investigation, and traffic safety education.
Members of the Traffic Services address high-risk driving behaviours through targeted enforcement, visibility in identified problem areas, and data-informed deployment strategies. Their responsibilities include investigating serious and fatal motor vehicle collisions, conducting impaired driving enforcement, managing traffic control for special events, and providing specialized services such as collision reconstruction.
Through a balanced approach that combines enforcement, education, and prevention, Traffic Services plays a critical role in protecting the public, supporting Patrol operations, and contributing to the overall crime reduction and community safety objectives of the organization.
