Hire a Paid Duty Officer

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force is dedicated to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors throughout the Kennebecasis Valley. To support community safety at local events, offduty police officers are available for hire to provide a uniformed police presence. Officers may be requested for a variety of functions, including:

  • Commercial vehicle escorts (traffic control)
  • Community events
  • Private functions
  • Special events
  • Sporting events
  • VIP functions

Submitting a Request

Requests for paid duty officers should be submitted using the form below. To ensure availability and proper planning, requests must be made at least 30 business days prior to the event.

  • A minimum four (4) hour charge applies to all extra-duty assignments.
  • Each request is evaluated individually. The Chief of Police or designate will make final decisions regarding:
  • A member of the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force will contact you and provide the following information:

– Whether the request is approved or denied (with reasons, if denied)

– Details of the assignment, including officer numbers, supervision requirements, and start time

– Total cost of the assignment,

  • Cancellations made less than 10 days before the event will result in a penalty equal to the administrative fee plus one hour of pay for each scheduled member.
  • All officers assigned to extra duty will perform the duties expected of an onduty peace officer.
