The Emergency Tactical Services (ETS) team is a specialized joint unit made up of highly trained officers from both the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force and the Saint John Police Force. Together, they provide a coordinated, expert response to situations that pose elevated risk to the public and to responding officers.

ETS members receive advanced training in tactical operations and are equipped with specialized tools, communication systems, and protective gear. Their expertise allows them to safely and effectively respond to critical incidents such as:

• Barricaded or armed individuals
• High‑risk warrant services
• Hostage situations
• Active shooter events
• Other incidents requiring advanced tactical capability

In addition to responding to emergencies, ETS supports other policing units during operations where additional tactical resources are needed. Their presence helps ensure that high‑risk situations are managed with precision, professionalism, and a strong focus on public safety.
